Olivia Pyrc is a freshman at the University of Michigan, majoring in History. Olivia is from Michigan, where she grew up eating traditionally American food with her family of ten. She loves to cook with her sisters and visits often. Her great-great-grandparents immigrated to America from Poland, where most of her family recipes are based. Olivia loves to explore not only her culture but also the cultures of others. Olivia plans to branch out even further in the years to come when she has access to a kitchen, along with the many cuisines and flavors Ann Arbor has to offer. Olivia plans to teach history after college and hopes to continue pursuing food as a way to connect to her ancestry and other cultures.
