Rachel Wattleworth hails from Royal Oak, Michigan, and began her undergraduate journey as a Movement Science major at the University of Michigan in the fall of 2023. Rachel is a natural-born leader, as shown through receiving the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize in her first semester at U-M, which honors her superior academic achievement as a scholar in the top 5% of her class. In her free time at U-M, Rachel loves to explore new places and test out unfamiliar cuisines. One of her favorite restaurants that she’s discovered in Ann Arbor is the Stray Hen cafe, where she religiously orders Belgian waffles with strawberries; her infatuation with this dish comes from a family tradition of eating Belgian waffles every Christmas Eve. Additionally, Rachel is fond of spending her late nights watching TV shows with her friends and family, especially The Sopranos, House, and South Park. In the future, Rachel hopes to attend Physician Assistant school and work in the medical field, as demonstrated by her involvement in the Pre-PA Club at U-M. She is passionate about helping others and believes that becoming a Physician Assistant will help develop her problem-solving skills and interests into a lifelong career.
