Leopold Hoang is a freshman at the University of Michigan, majoring in biochemistry. Leopold calls Houston home where his palette is defined by the intersection of Vietnamese, Texan, and Mexican cuisine. He diversifies his knowledge of food by learning to cook his dad’s Vietnamese food recipes or watching his favorite foodie shows such as The Bear or The Great British Baking Show.
Leopold dreams of becoming a field surgeon for the Army National Guard and is interested in food writing as food is medicine. He is passionate about food as he believes that food both unifies and mirrors the human race. Leopold continues to explore the wonders of food and plans to visit Jordan with Project Global Officer.
