Krish Patel

Krish Patel is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Michigan majoring in biochemistry. He aspires to go to medical school to gain critical experience to help prepare him for a future career as a doctor, and he has volunteered at the Corewell Hospital in Dearborn for three years. In high school, he was a state and three-time regional finalist in the Health Occupations Student of America competition and a two-time regional finalist in his varsity tennis team. Krish is currently involved in kidney disease research at the University of Michigan and assists in finding medications that can help Autosomal Dominant Tubulointerstitial Kidney Disease. Krish will soon participate in EMT training to gain experience in emergency medicine. He also loves to travel and taste all kinds of foods from around the world, but the samosa from India has always been his favorite. Krish watches football and has always been a huge University of Michigan and Detroit Lions fan.
