Chaeyeon Park

Chae is a junior at the University of Michigan at the Stamps School of Art and Design. Born and raised in Korea, she plans to go to graduate school in Korea. Chae is particularly interested in illustration and graphic design and incorporates Korean traditional elements into her artwork. Some of her artwork with Korean patchwork was displayed in a showcase at the Stamps building last year. She enjoys spending time at the national museums in Korea and folk villages to discover unique traditional elements. In her spare time, Chae watches K-Dramas and Ghibli movies. She particularly loves Korean and Japanese food, such as bibimbap, tteokbokki, and sushi. She frequently cooks Korean foods in her own recipes with her friends who share the same culture. She enjoys finding new Korean and Japanese restaurants in Ann Arbor or Troy. She often writes reviews of restaurants in her diary with her hand-drawn illustrations of foods.
