Maggie is a freshman at the University of Michigan majoring in biology. She is from Chicago, Illinois, and lives close to downtown. This allows Maggie to try a variety of cuisines from various cultures in the city. However, she is a huge fan of home-cooked meals, and growing up in an East Asian household drove Maggie to expand her curiosity within her culture, such as her parents’ homemade Longevity noodles. As a biology major, Maggie hopes to investigate the impacts of food production on the human body and the environment. As an amateur food writer, Maggie is creating an e-magazine to give readers a glimpse into her experience with food, and hopes to learn more from listening to podcasts or picking up a food-related book. Come along to see what Maggie has to say about her experiences with food!
