Lucas Karbel is a first-year business student at the University of Michigan. Born and raised in Commerce, Michigan, Lucas grew up in a Jewish household where food and meals were central to family tradition and connection. His passion for food has taken him far beyond his roots. Lucas is an avid traveler, tasting his way through diverse cuisines, from melt-in-your-mouth wagyu in Japan to street tacos in Tulum. A true food enthusiast, he’s always in search of the next great bite. Blending a love for culture, curiosity, and culinary discovery, Lucas approaches food not just as nourishment but as a universal language, one he hopes to keep exploring throughout his life.
