Adrienne Lirio is a first-year student at the University of Michigan, originally from Boston, Massachusetts. She is a prospective dual major in Psychology and Organizational Studies. A self-proclaimed foodie, Adrienne has a special love for boba because of its flavor, the memories it holds, and the connections it creates. From trying new boba shops to experimenting with foods in uncharted territory with friends and family, she sees food as a way to explore identity and culture. Adrienne hopes to travel more in the future, using food as a lens to learn about people and places. She is also interested in how shared food experiences bring communities together. As she studies human behavior and group dynamics, Adrienne looks forward to writing about how small rituals like drinking boba can carry significant cultural meaning.
