Matthew Wong is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Michigan majoring in economics. Before coming to the University, Matthew graduated from Riverview Community High School in Riverview, Michigan. In high school, Matthew participated in several extracurricular activities, including DECA, chess club, varsity soccer, student government, marching band, wind ensemble, and track and field.

During the same time, Matthew developed a passion for food. Matthew explored his curiosity by making numerous dishes ranging from chocolate souffles to French macarons to Cantonese roast duck. Whether it be eating dim sum with his family or making a dish to share with his friends, Matthew discovered the true beauty of food is the people you can share it with. 

Currently in college, Matthew is an analyst for Propel Business Club, a member of the Michigan Economics Society, and a member of the Michigan Futsal Club. Upon graduation, Matthew intends to pursue a career in management consulting. Far in the future however, Matthew dreams of starting his own restaurant to further share his passion for food.
