Erin Carr is a current first-gen undergraduate student at the University of Michigan in their College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She wishes to pursue a major in biology on a pre-veterinary track, following her childhood dreams of becoming a vet. Coming from the small town of Rochester Hills, MI where she once helped volunteer at a local animal shelter, she hopes to translate the passion she has for animals into her writing. Finding plenty of comfort in food, Erin is only a newly started food writer who hopes to explore the food Ann Arbor has to offer. So far, she has found the Slurping Turtle and Tomukun to be some of her local favorites. Outside of school, Erin enjoys indulging in her creative side through drawing, roller skating, and traveling. Erin looks forward to exploring all the hidden gems Ann Arbor has to offer as well as grow in her appreciation for culture and food.Â
