David Rogers is a sophomore at the University of Michigan majoring in Information with a focus on user experience design. He grew up in a diverse New Jersey suburb whose cuisine was a little bit of everything. David enjoyed the local Spanish, Italian, and German food in his local area but also made frequent trips to New York City where he’d frequent ramen shops and local pizzerias. Although the ramen and New York pizza stand out the most, there’s still a place in his heart for a good German roasted pig.
After graduating from the Academy for Information Technology, David worked as a coach for Cloud9, a professional esports organization. Here, he would gain experience putting together seminars to explain complex concepts to inexperienced players, ultimately igniting his desire to pursue an Information degree at the University of Michigan so that he could continue simplifying and making systems digestible for the average person. As he works towards this degree, David is doing freelance coaching in addition to being a part of the varsity League of Legends team at the University of Michigan.
