From the planning board in BOS, you can navigate to an interface that lists all the jobs for a specific Stage. The Stage selected depends on the record you clicked on.
On the Kanban Board, jobs can be dragged and dropped from one Production Status to another (e.g. from Ready to Busy).
Navigation: Main Menu > Production Planning > Menu (button) > Board > Right-click a record > Select Open Kanban Board.
Refresh: Updates the display with any changes that may have happened since the board was opened.
Column width: Displays 300 by default. The number can be changed to adjust the column width.
Compact: A checkbox that if checked the Duration and Progress fields are suppressed.
A column is created for every Production Stage. Typically, there will be columns for:
New Job: The job has not yet been put into production.
Planned: The job is planned.
Ready: All the materials have been received, and the job is ready to be produced.
Busy: The job is being produced.
Part-Complete: The job has started but is not yet complete.
Complete: The job is complete and ready for the next stage.
Status Bar: Colour-coded to indicate the status of the job. Displays the job number and the Customer.
Description: The field below the Status bar shows the full Description of the job.
Duration Summary:
Displays how long the job will take in hours.
Duration Expanded:
Estimated: Displays the Estimated Hours that the job will take.
Actual: Displays the Actual Hours that the job took.
Progress Summary:
Displays the Quantity that is required.
Progress Expanded:
Required Qty: Displays the Quantity Required.
Complete Qty: Displays the Quantity Completed.
