Budgets
Overview
This module allows you to create different kinds of Budgets which can be measured and charted against actuals. Budgets can be linked to Entities and a maximum of 12 periods (Months or Years) is allowed on one Budget.
The Budget parameters (Type, Period, etc. ) can not be updated once Items have been added to the Budget.
Budgets can only be deleted once all the items in the Budget have been deleted. Functionality is provided to batch delete selected Items.
Budgets can be copied to a new Budget or to a Version.
The Budget Status is used as follows:
Pending - Default on new Budget and Editable
Active - The Budget is currently in use - Read-only
Complete - The Budget is no longer in use - Read-only
Cancelled - Effectively a soft delete
By default, only the Pending and Active Budgets are visible. Uncheck the Active checkbox to view all Budgets.
The Save Grid functionality works at a Budget level and is applied when the focussed record is changed.
The following Budget Types are supported:
Sales by Rep - Add amounts per Rep
Sales by Customer - Add amounts per Customer - the Rep linked to the Customer is displayed in the gridview.
Sales by Items - Add amounts by Item Category
Purchases by Supplier - Add amounts by Supplier
Purchases by Items - Add amounts by ITem Category
Accounting - Add amounts by Account - The Report (IS, BS), as well as the Account Category, is also displayed in the gridview.
Adding Items to a Budget
