Location Groups can be used for main sites (e.g. Main Building, Building 2) or locations (e.g. Durban, Johannesburg).
Locations refer to the sections of the main site (e.g. Showroom, Factory, Section 3).
If you only have a single Location (e.g. one factory), use locations, and leave location groups blank.
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Location Groups (tab).
Click New (button).
Type in a name for the Location Group.
Type in a short and descriptive Code for the Location Group.
Navigate to Transactions (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Transactions (button).
Select the Available Transaction Types you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Transaction Types by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Estimates (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Estimates (button).
Select the Available Estimate Types you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Estimates by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Roles (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Roles (button).
Select the Available User Types you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect User Types by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Categories (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Categories (button).
Select the Available Categories you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Categories by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Click Save (button).
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Location Groups (tab).
Right-click the Location Group you want to edit and select Edit Group from the context menu.
Edit the group as needed (See How to Create a Location Group above for more information.)
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Location Groups (tab).
Right-click the Location Group you want to delete and select Delete Group from the context menu.
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Locations (tab).
Click New (button).
Type in a name for the Location.
Type in a short and descriptive Code for the Location.
Select a Group from the dropdown lists of groups (optional).
Select a Customer from the dropdown list of customers (optional).
Select a Supplier from the dropdown list of suppliers (optional).
Navigate to Transactions (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Transactions (button).
Select the Available Transaction Types you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Transaction Types by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Estimates (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Estimates (button).
Select the Available Estimate Types you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Estimates by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Roles (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Roles (button).
Select the Available Users you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Users by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Navigate to Categories (tab) (Optional).
Click Edit Categories (button).
Select the Available Categories you want to allow and click the arrow ▶ to move them to the Selected block.
Deselect Categories by moving them back to the Available section using the ◀ arrow.
Click OK (button).
Click the block below Bin Ref. and list any Bin Numbers applicable to the Location.
Click Save (button).
Note: The Linked Items (tab) will automatically display any linked items as they are created.
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Locations (tab).
Right-click the Location you want to edit and select Edit Location from the context menu.
Edit the Location as needed (See How to Create a Location above for more information.)
Navigate to Main Menu > Items > Items.
Click Menu (button) > Edit Inventory Locations.
Navigate to Locations (tab).
Right-click the Location you want to delete and select Delete Location from the context menu.
