Organigram
Overview
The Organigram module is used to define the company structure, including Departments, Heads and Staff and is found in the Organigram tab of the My Organisation module.
You can View and Edit the Organigram in a Treeview or in a standard Gridview - See Menu (button) > Views.
When a new record is added, the Status is set to Vacant. When a Staff member is selected for a Person type or the name is entered for an Entity type, the Status automatically updates to Active.
The functionality allows you to add Managers and Heads at the same level as Staff or in a hierarchical format, eg. Head > Manager > Staff.
This module also provides a Department lookup list for other modules: NCRs and Work Processes.
Fields
Type - Options include: Company, Branch, Department, Head, Manager, Staff, Trainee
Status - Vacant (Yellow), Active (Blue), In-Active (Red).
Name - The name of the Department or the selected Staff - this field can only be edited for Department Types.
Code - A 10-character code used in Department lookups
Description - A short description of the function of the Entity/Person.
Updated - The Date and User who last updated the record.
Parent - Select from all Types except Staff and Trainees.
Treeview
The following functionality is available in the Treeview:
You are able to explicitly order the Organigram by right-clicking on a record to Move Up (Ctrl+U) or Move Down (Ctrl+D)
You are also able to nest items using drag-and-drop functionality. Drag an item to the left of the parent Icon to remove it from the group.
Gridview
The Gridview is ordered by Company, Branch, Department and Name.
Company, Branch and Department are derived by searching from the parent level and then up through the treeview of records for the first instance.
Data Filters are provided for Company, Type and Status.
You are not able to Add/Delete items in this view.
Editing is allowed on the Status, Name and Description fields.
