The Item Dashboard displays all the Inventory and other information related to an Item on one screen. The Item Dashboard is accessed through context menus (right-click) and there is an option to view the dashboard from most reports and transactions that involve items. However, the Item Dashboard can also be added to the Menu as a Fixed Item.
Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Settings > Users (tab).
Items & Inventory > Item Dashboard/Summary - Access Allowed: Options are:
None: No access.
User: View access.
Administrator: Required to view Purchase and Transaction Prices on the dashboard.
Inventory: The top left panel displays a summary of Inventory Movements.
Selling Prices: The bottom left panel displays a summary of Selling Prices.
Transactions: The top right panel displays a list of Transactions.
Chart: The bottom right panel displays a chart depicting Inventory Levels.
⬆ ⬇: Allows users to navigate to the next or previous item, if the report the dashboard was accessed from contains multiple items.
Name of the Item the dashboard is for. If the report the item was accessed from contains multiple items, there will be a dropdown list for users to select any of the other items to view their dashboards.
View: Generates the reports.
Actions:
Adjust the Inventory Quantity: This allows users to change the Inventory Quantities without performing a stock check.
Export Excel: Exports the displayed data in Excel format.
Email Excel: Opens the default email template and attaches the displayed data in .xlsx format.
Menu: Layout & Grids.
Suggested: A checkbox that if checked will calculate and display the Suggested Inventory Quantity that should be held.
Empty: A checkbox that if checked will show all the locations set up for the inventory item, whether or not there is any inventory on hand at that location.
ℹ️ There are totals and counts for all the columns at the bottom of this section.
Location: The location of the inventory.
Minimum: The minimum amount that should be kept in stock.
Reorder: The amount that should be ordered at a time.
Suggested: The suggested Minimum and Reorder Quantities (subject to the filter being checked).
In Stock: The current Quantity in stock.
On Order: The current Quantity that has been ordered but not yet received.
Reserve: The current Quantity that is Reserved for customer orders.
Available: The Quantity of inventory that is available.
Unit Price: The current Stock Price of the inventory item.
Price Lists: The name/s of the price list/s the item is on.
Unit: A description of the item's Unit.
Fixed Sell: The item's Fixed Selling Price.
Unit Sell: The item's Unit Selling Price.
VAT: Whether the price Includes (Inc.) or Excludes (Exc.) VAT.
CUR: The Currency that the Selling Price is in.
Transaction Types: A dropdown list to filter the transaction. The options are:
Movement
On Order
Reserved
Purchases
Transactions
Date: Date options (e.g. Today, This Year, Fin Year).
Date Fields: Option to refine the date selections by selecting Start and End Dates.
⬅ ➡ : Adjusts the date fields forwards or backwards.
Location: A checkbox that if checked will include the inventory location of the transaction in the Location column and in the Transactions header.

Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.
ID: A system-generated number for the report entry.
Trans ID: A system-generated number for the Transaction.
Trans: A code indicating the type of transaction (e.g. OB for Opening Balance).
No.: The Number of the source document where applicable.
From: The source document that was used to create the transaction.
Date: The Date of the transaction.
Reference: The Reference field on the transaction.
Location: The Location of the inventory during the transaction.
Updated: The User who updated the transaction.
Unit Price (Base): The item's Base Unit Price.
Unit Price (Trans): The Unit Price used in the Transaction.
Unit Price (Stock): The current Unit Price of the Inventory on hand.
Unit: A description of the Unit.
Unit (Trans): A description of the Unit used in the Transaction.
Qty (Trans): The Inventory Quantity involved in the transaction.
Received: The Inventory Quantity that was received.
Issued: The Inventory Quantity that was issued.
Balance: The Inventory on Hand at the end of the transaction.
The chart is a graphical illustration of inventory movements grouped into Received, Issued, and In Stock for the past year.
There is a legend at the bottom of the chart.
The horizontal axis shows the Dates.
The vertical axis show the Quantities. The quantity intervals vary according to the quantity of inventory on hand.
