The Item Summary is part of the context menu (right-click menus) of Transactions (Edit View) and Reports (List View) that use items. It opens a panel on the right with information about the item.
This tutorial explains how to use an Item Summary to view information about the item.
ℹ️ On the Item Summary, the View (button) works with the Search field and will always open the Search (tab). The transaction lists are automatically updated when a filter is selected. If nothing is displayed, there is no data to display.
ℹ️ The explanation below is only one example. You can right-click an item and select View Item Summary from the context menus of most Views or Transactions that contain items.
Navigate to any report or transaction that has items (e.g. Main Menu > Production > Work Orders > Double-click a Work Order to open it or Main Menu > Items > Items > Menu (button > Default).
Right-click the item you want to view and select View Item Summary from the context menu.
The item's header information and several tabs will be displayed.

Type the search criteria in the block next to View (button).
Click View (button).
A list of items that meet the search criteria will be displayed.

Click Menu (button) > Open Item.
The detail tab is divided into multiple sections:
Header: This is the information that is filled in on the item's header when Creating Items.
Selling Prices: This is the item's selling price that is entered on the item's Costing & Pricing (tab).
Note, Specification, Image: This is the information that is entered on an item's Image & Specs (tab).

Click Inventory (tab).
Click Summary (tab).
Three sections will be displayed:
A summary of Stock Movements (In stock, On Order, Reserved, and Available).
Details of any Stock Check transactions. The transaction can be opened by clicking the eye in the last column.
A graph displaying Stock Received, Issued, and On Hand over the past year.

Click Inventory (tab).
Click Movement (tab).
Change the dates as needed.
Note: The display will automatically be updated. Do not click View (button) because it opens the Search (tab).
Select an option from the dropdown list that displays Movement by default. The options are:
Movement (default): Shows Goods Received, Issued, and Returned transactions.
On Order: Displays transactions (e.g. Purchase Orders) that have Ordered the inventory.
Reserved: Displays transactions (e.g. Sales Orders) that have Reserved the inventory.

Click Inventory (tab).
Click Batches (tab).
Note: If the item does not have a tracking option, the tab will not be displayed.
The tracking information will be displayed.
ℹ️ This is the information that appears on an item's Dependencies (tab) when the item is part of an Assembly.

Click Dependencies (tab).
A list of items that are part of the assembly will be shown.
Click the eye in the last column to open an item on the list.

Click Transactions (tab).
Change the dates as needed.
Note: The display will automatically be updated. Do not click View (button) because it opens the Search (tab).
Select one of the radio buttons:
Purchases: Displays a list of all the transactions that are used to Purchase the item (e.g. Purchase Orders).
Item Links: Displays a list of Linked Transactions (e.g. Goods Received, Supplier Invoices, and Purchase Orders) that are linked to the transaction items.
Header Links: Displays all the Transactions that have a link to the Header Items. Header Links are only available if the feature Link to Item under the Transaction setup is used.
