Upgrade Notes - BOS Enterprise 23

This document lists the Breaking Changes, Enhancements and Fixes that were made in BOS Enterprise Version 23 (The version number follows the last two digits of the current year). 

Important Note

• When upgrading from a previous version, always run the script for the current version before upgrading to the next version.

Breaking Changes

The Description and Note can no longer be updated in Item Costings - they are looked up from the linked Item.

Bank Accounts are now required to be linked to Entities. (In a multi-Entity environment).

The functionality to auto-update the Note on items has been changed to auto-update the Specification.

Inventory - Replenishment View - Transaction Settings have been added to identify which Transactions are used for Purchase Orders and Work Orders. These settings have to be manually updated after the upgrade: 

• Add to Inventory Replenishment Actions (Purchase)

• Add to Inventory Replenishment Actions (Produce)

Transaction Settings have been added to enable certain functionality in the Ledger. These settings need to be manually updated after this upgrade: 

• Enable 'Clear Overpayment' function in Ledger

• Enable 'Discount Outstanding' function in Ledger

• Enable 'Record Foreign Exchange Gain' function in Ledger

• Enable 'Record Foreign Exchange Loss' function in Ledger
