READ-A-THON

After many years of a Fun Run, we have decided to work out our brains this year! Our fall fundraiser is going to be a READ-A-THON. It will be similar in structure to a fun run, but we will be reading for endurance instead of running. Websites will be set up for each child in the school and all pledges will made through the website.

Read-A-Thon Kickoff: Monday, September 23rd

Reading Themed Spirit Days: September 24th - October 1st

Read-A-Thon: Wednesday, October 2nd

Pledges will be made for each minute read (30 minute max) on the big day.

There will be fun prizes and experiences for all of our readers!

Look for more info to come home soon!

The money raised for the fall fundraiser will go to...

A LIBRARY MAKE OVER!!!

I'm sure all of you who have been in our library agree that it could use a refresh. We will be recovering the chairs, painting the walls, and making our library the best in the district!  We are so excited for this read-a-thon and all we can do for our school library!

For questions or to volunteer to help with any of the fundraising, please contact Melissa Kohn, VP of Fundraising, fundraisingleawood@gmail.com

Passion Project

Calling all students with a PASSION for . . . ANYTHING! Share your passion for drawing, painting, story telling, science, sculpting, research, dance - WHATEVER.  During parent/teacher conferences in October, you will have to opportunity to put your passion on display for the school to enjoy.  Look for more information coming home in Friday Folders on September 19th.

the Classrooms need YOU!

If you are interested in being a "room parent" for your student's class, please contact kelly.rodak@jeffco.k12.co.us

Duties include recruiting volunteers for classroom support as needed, overseeing holiday parties and acting as a liaison for PTSA/Accountability.

ALSO - we are in the process setting up a convenient way to share parent contact info with anybody interested for each grade level.  Please be on the lookout for more information and how to participate (and the sign-ups for holiday parties) in your teacher's weekly newsletter sometime this month.
