Adjetivos Determinativos

Estos adjetivos se utilizan para precisar, determinar a qué sustantivo/s nos estamos refiriendo. Por ejemplo: this, those, every, each, either, neither.

this (dis) - este, esta, esto (singular)

This car, here, is mine.
- Este auto, aquí, es mío.
- I do not understand this.
- No entiendo esto.
This house is too small for me.
- Esta casa es demasiado pequeña para mí.
This is my book.
- éste es mi libro.

that (dat) - ese, esa, eso; aquel, aquella/o (singular)

That car, there, is yours.
- Ese auto, ahí, es tuyo.
I do not remember that.
- No recuerdo eso.
That house was comfortable.
- Esa casa era cómoda.
- I liked that book.
- Me gustaba ese libro.

these (díis) - estos, estas

These are my things.
- éstas son mis cosas.
These articles are damaged.
- Estos productos están dañados.
- I do not know these people.
- No conozco estas personas
These sentences are easy.
- Estas oraciones son fáciles.

those (dóus) - esos, esas; aquellas/os

Those are your things.
- ésas son tus cosas.
- I miss those days.
- Extraño esos dias.
- I love those people.
- Amo a esas personas.
- I do not believe in those ideas.
- No creo en esas ideas.

all (ól) - todo/a, todos/as.

All nations have a territory.
- Todas las naciones tienen un territorio.
All the families were present there.
- Todas las familias estaban presente allí.
He has drunk all the wine.
- él se ha tomado todo el vino.
Who are all those people?
- ¿Quiénes son todas esas personas?

every (évri) - cada (significando todos)

I go there every day.
- Voy allí cada día todos los días.
Every language has its grammar.
- Todos los idiomas tienen su gramática.
She goes to the gym every week.
- Ella va al gym todas las semanas.
He goes to the dentist every six months.
- El va al dentista cada seis meses.

each (ích) - cada (tomados en particular)

Each day is different for me.
- Cada día es diferente para mí.
Each person has a different idea.
- Cadapersona tiene una idea diferente.
Each province has its capital city.
- Cada provincia tiene su ciudad capital.
- They paid three dollars each.
- Pagaron tres dólares por persona (cada uno).

both (bóuz) - ambos, los dos

- Take this with both hands.
- Toma esto con ambas manos.

Both of John's brothers work there.
- Ambos hermanos de John trabajan allí.
- I like both of these books.
- Me gustan estos dos libros.
On both sides of the river.
- A ambos lados del río.

either (íder o áider) - cualquiera (de dos), ambos; ninguno (al negar)

- You can take either way.
- Puedes tomar cualquiera de los dos caminos.

There are trees on either side of the street.
- Hay árboles a ambos lados de la calle.
I do not like either book.
- No me gusta ninguno de los dos libros.
I have not seen either film.
- No he visto ninguna de las dos películas.

neither (níder o náider) - ninguno de los dos, ni el uno ni el otro

I have seen neither film.
- No he visto niguna de las dos películas.
Neither of my parents lives here.
- Ninguno de mis padres vive aquí.
Neither of them knows the answer.
- Ninguno de ellos (dos) sabe la respuesta.
Neither house is for rent.
- Ninguna de las dos casas está en alquiler.

another (anóder) - otro; otra

- They bought another house.
- Ellos compraron otra casa.

Do you need another copy?
- ¿Necesitas otra copia?
- We need another three hours.
- Necesitamos otras tres horas.
He stayed there for another few days.
- El se quedó allí por algunos días más.

other (óder) - otro/s

the other (di óder) - el otro / los otros

- I have many other problems.
- Tengo muchos otros problemas.

Do you have any other shoes?
- ¿Tienes otros zapatos?
- I will paint the other side of the wall.
- Pintaré el otro lado del muro.
The other people were resting.
- Las otras personas estaban descansando.
