Print Error for Firefox Users
Do you get an error like this when attempting to print PDFs that you created in Synergy (for example, a report or an IEP)? If so, you can fix this by changing the way Firefox displays your PDF. Here's how:
In the File menu, select Preferences.
A new tab will open that displays your Firefox preferences. Click Applications on the sidebar at the left.
The Applications tab displays a list of the files that could be downloaded from the internet. Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the Content Type column.
Click into the Action column to the right of Portable Document Format (PDF).
If Use Preview or Use Adobe Reader is available in the drop-down, select one of those.
If neither Preview nor any type of Adobe is available, select Use Other...
A finder window should appear with a list of available applications. Find Preview or Adobe Reader in this list, click it, and then click Open. (If you don't see either Application in the list, you can use Self Service to add it to your computer.)
You will then need to click the drop-down in the Action column again to select the application.
When you have selected a new application, you can close the Preferences tab.
After completing the above steps, PDFs generated in Synergy will open in a separate application (Preview or Adobe reader) instead of Firefox. You can then print the PDF without getting the error.
