How to Claim Your New Account

For newly hired staff and contracted staff with a new SPS account, the Claim Account page replaces the previous Activate Account page.  The Claim Account link below is also found on the district website, under Employment. Scroll towards the bottom of the page to find Technical Assistance for New EmployeesIf you are a returning staff member, or the Claim Account page is not working, please call 541-726-3463.

Complete the 4 fields on the page.  Note:  If you are Certified staff, you should have received an email from HR letting you know your 7-digit ID number (i.e. 3879777.)  If you are Classified staff, you can reach out to their building secretary for your ID number.

Click “I’m not a robot.”  Some versions will display a photograph with instructions to choose particular items in the photograph.  Click Next.

Create your Active Directory password using the password specifications listed on the page.  This is the password you will use for SPS Portal, Email, Synergy, Wifi, and Google.

If you have difficulties claiming your account or creating a password, please contact your school secretary or Technology Services.
