DYMO Label Printer
Software Update
With new computer upgrades, a DYMO label software update may be necessary to keep the label printer operating.
The DYMO Compatibility Chart shows the proper software download for the specific model of label printer. In the DYMO Compatibility Chart, another download option is DYMO Connect. This program is slightly different than the DYMO Label software. Both programs can be downloaded, if desired. The instructions below show how to download the DYMO Label software.
It may be necessary to login to Self Service and utilize the Make Me an Admin operation for temporary Admin rights to your computer.

Instructions for DYMO Label Software Update:
Check the DYMO Compatibility Chart for the software upgrade to your printer model.
Following are the steps to install the latest DYMO Label Software (DLS) to your Mac:
If you are upgrading to Version 8 of the DYMO Label Software and currently have an earlier version, we suggest you backup your DLS Address Book prior to installing this software. Address Books are usually stored in the Documents folder on your Mac.
To download and install the latest DLS on your Mac, please click HERE. Once the software is downloaded, run the DLS8Setup.dmg file and follow the steps on the screen.
Note: The printer must be DISCONNECTED when running the installation.
DYMO Label v.8 requires that you have Mac OS "Administrator" level permissions to install a printer. You MUST be able to modify files in the System folder to install and configure a LabelWriter printer. See the Make Me an Admin document for instructions.
If you have already installed a label printer, disconnect the USB cable from your computer before running the installer and reconnect the cable when the software installer instructs you to.
