Student Usernames
Overview
All students have a unique Google username that is in the format of
john.doe@sps19.org
Student usernames are generally first.last, but not always.
Username Format
Usernames can be up to 20 characters long and are in the format of first.last; they may include hyphens. Please note that the "." counts as one of the 20 characters.
Passwords are the first two letters of the last name followed by the student's six-digit lunch number.

Exceptions to the Rule
When there are duplicate student names, the username if followed by a number. For example:
john.brown1
john.brown2

Run the StudentVUE/Google Usernames admin report in TeacherVUE for a complete and accurate list of your students' usernames.
Username Problems
We get a number of tickets about students having problems with their accounts and not being able to log in.
If you encounter a problem with the student's StudentVUE/Google Apps/Library username and password, please check with your office staff to determine if there was a name change before submitting a ticket.
If a student's name was changed in Synergy, the student's StudentVUE/Google Apps/Library usernames are automatically updated after 24 hours to match the new name. If the name was changed in Synergy, but the name was not updated in other systems the following day, please submit a Web Help Desk ticket.
