How to Change Your District Password (Email, Google, Synergy, Etc)
Important note! Whenever you change your district password, you will also need to go into all of your devices on which you've added your district account and manually change the passwords for email and wi-fi (SPS_Secure). Failure to do so will likely result in account lockouts.
Changing your Password in SPS Portal (RapidIdentity)
You can use SPS Portal to change your Active Directory password - that is, the password you use to access your email and district accounts such as Synergy, Google and the intranet.
RapidIdentity – SPS Portal: https://portal.springfield.k12.or.us
Enter your Username, (firstname.lastname).
Highlight and click Go.
Enter your current email password. You may click on the "eyeball" icon to see what you are typing.
Highlight and click Go.
Click on the down arrow, next to your name, to see a drop-down menu.
Click on Change Password.
To Change Password:
Enter Your Current Password.
Enter and confirm your New Password, following the password guidelines listed.
Click Save.
Your district password is set to expire every 6 months. If your password expires, you can login to SPS Portal with the expired password. You will be prompted to update your password.
If you have forgotten your district password, contact your department secretary, or you may contact Technology Services at 541-726-3463.
