Guest Teacher Accounts

Overview

This page includes information about accounts for short term subs, long term subs and student teachers.

All subs and student teachers should have a District account created for them when they are hired. Before they can use their account, they need to claim their account and set a password.

Guest teachers can connect to the SPS_Secure wireless network with their District account. Guest teachers should not be using the Guest Network SPS wireless network.

Short Term Guest Teachers (Subs)

Teacher Devices

If a teacher has a computer that is available for use by the guest teacher, the guest teacher can sign into almost any district computer using their district email address and password.

NOTE: If a guest teacher has never tried to use their account before, they will need to go through the account claim process. Click here for information about password changes, account claiming, and how to get help.

Chromebooks

Guest teachers can sign into Chromebooks with their District account.

Guest teachers do not have access to online curriculum materials (e.g., iReady, Google Classroom, Stemscopes, NG Connect, Buzz...).

Required: Administrator Action for Long Term Guest Teachers (Subs)

Guest teachers needing access to online curriculum that is rostered through Synergy (e.g., iReady, Google Classroom, Stemscopes, NG Connect) need to be assigned to teach classes in Synergy, which requires:

(1) they have a district email account and

(2) the school secretary must assign them to the appropriate section in Synergy.

Building administrators will need to fill out a Help Desk ticket requesting access. Please be specific as to what the needs are (e.g., email, Synergy, Google).

The ticket will need to include:

FAX a signed copy of the SpringNET guideline to Tech services (541) 726-3456.
