Learn about Tech in SPS
The District is legally required to monitor and log Internet traffic. This includes activity from web browsing (even in private/incognito mode), mobile apps (dating apps, etc), social media platforms, messaging services, RSS subscriptions, podcast subscriptions, push notifications, and more. Apps leak sensitive information even when not actively used!
Due to limited resources, Tech Services is unable to provide technical support for personal devices. If your personal device is having issues connecting to SPS_Secure, you can typically "forget" the SPS_Secure wireless network on your device and start over.
Make sure you type your username and password correctly and make sure you accept the certificate prompt! Your username is typically in the format "first.last". Do not include anything following that, such as "@sps19.org" or "@springfield.k12.or.us". You may get prompted to accept a certificate and you need to accept it in order to successfully connect.
Remember: Per the SpringNet Guidelines, the District network is for official District purposes only.
