Personal Devices

Note: Per the SpringNet Guidelines, the District network is for official District purposes only.

Technical Support for Personal Devices

Due to limited resources, Tech Services is unable to provide technical support for personal devices.

If your personal device is having issues connecting to SPS_Secure, you can typically "forget" the SPS_Secure wireless network on your device and start over.

Then, try connecting again, but make sure you type your username and password correctly and make sure you accept the certificate prompt! Your username is typically in the format "first.last". Do not include anything following that, such as "@sps19.org" or "@springfield.k12.or.us". You may get prompted to accept a certificate and you need to accept it in order to successfully connect.

Remember: the district wireless network is for official district purposes only!

Monitoring

Technology Services is required by law to monitor and log Internet traffic. This may include activity such as background applications, browser tabs -- even private browsing tabs, dating apps, Reddit, social media apps, notifications, messaging, and so on. These apps running on personal devices may leak sensitive and private information.
