Learn about Tech in SPS
The District is legally required to monitor and log Internet traffic. This includes activity from web browsing (even in private/incognito mode), mobile apps (dating apps, etc), social media platforms, messaging services, RSS subscriptions, podcast subscriptions, push notifications, and more. Apps leak sensitive information even when not being actively used!
Due to limited resources, Tech Services cannot provide technical support for personal devices.
If your personal device has trouble connecting to SPS_Secure, try forgetting the SPS_Secure wireless network and reconnecting.
Enter your username (jane.doe) and password carefully, and accept the certificate prompt when asked. Your username typically follows the format first.last. Do not include anything after it, such as @sps19.org or @springfield.k12.or.us. You must accept the certificate to connect successfully.
Remember: Under the SpringNet Guidelines, the District network is for official District purposes only.
