Getting Started Step-by-Step

Let's Get Started

1. Watch the Read&Write for Google Chrome Feature Overview below.

Stop the video at 15:40 (this is when he describes how to get R&W, which is different in SPS).

Continue on to Step 2 to get R&W.

2. Verify that you are logged into your district Google Chrome account.

3. Locate the Read&Write icon in your extensions toolbar.

Try It

The video you watched provided a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Use the R&W button in Chrome to experiment with the features you just learned about.

Reflect: What was easy? What do you have more questions about?

4. Review the R&W for Google Chrome Quick Reference Guide

5. Review the  key tools and learn how R&W can help students needing various accommodations.

Think About It

How do you imagine your students using these tools?

Before Using with Students

Review the Accepting R&W Permissions information prior to using R&W with your students for the first time.

Other Resources

There are two other extensions that are a part of the Read&Write package: Texthelp PDF Reader and Screenshot Reader.
