i-Ready Use: Questions @ Home Access
Elementary Guidelines for i-Ready Use
The expectation is that all students receive 45 minutes of on-task i-Ready usage during the school day.
The use of i-Ready at home is not being actively promoted; any at home use should be supplemental to in-school usage.
Please talk with your principal about i-Ready use at home, including any communication around the use of iReady, before sending information to parents.
Logging In From Home
Primary students may be used to logging in to the SPS Portal using a QR code. However, they may also log in at home with a username and password.
Parents wishing to assist their students with logging into i-Ready should follow these steps:
1. Click here to log into the SPS Portal.
2. Enter the student's username and password.
Usernames can be up to 20 characters long and are in the format of first.last; they may include hyphens. Please note that the "." counts as one of the 20 characters.
Passwords are the first two letters of the last name followed by the student's six-digit lunch number.
Example usernames are:
Contact your student's teacher for the student's login/username if you need additional information.
Technical Information for Parents
QR Codes: The district has implemented the use of QR codes to facilitate student login to i-Ready during the school day. The QR codes have been tested on district devices and are a reliable way for students to log in to the SPS Portal at school.
From a technical perspective, due to the various devices and browser that students may use at home, the district cannot guarantee that the QR codes are compatible with home technologies.
