i-Ready: Missing Student
When a new student comes into the district, the secretary enters the student into Synergy and assigns them to a class.
At about 9am each day, there is a process that runs that looks for all new students and creates an Active Directory account for the student;
Around noon, the Google accounts become active;
At 8:45pm, the SPS Portal is updated; and
At 9pm, each day, the new student names are synced to i-Ready. Library accounts are also created in the wee hours of the morning.
If you have a new student arrive in your classroom, you may not see their names reflected in i-Ready, Google, etc. for a day or so. It all depends on when your secretary enters them into Synergy.
Example 1: If you have a new student on a Monday and they are entered into Synergy on Monday at 10am, their account for Google would show up on Tuesday afternoon and their i-Ready and library accounts will show up on Wednesday morning.
Example 2: If you have a new student on a Monday and they are entered into Synergy on Monday at 8:45am, their account for Google would show up on Monday afternoon and their i-Ready and library account will show up on Tuesday morning.
Example 3: If you have a new student on a Monday and they are entered into Synergy on Tuesday at 10am, their account for Google would show up on Wednesday afternoon and their i-Ready and library account will show up on Thursday morning.
If you are missing students, you might check in with your office staff to see when they were created and assigned to your class in Synergy and then do the "clock math" to determine when you might see your kids show up in i-Ready.
