Chromebooks & State Testing

Oaks Testing & Proper Shutdown

To decrease the risk of Chromebooks failing to boot after testing we recommend that when students have finished testing for the allotted time they do the following:

1.   Logout of the testing session.

2.   Find and click the “Close Secure Browser” button.

3.   Wait until the Chromebook refreshes to the original Google login screen.

4.   Power off or close the Chromebook.  (We have seen the most success with simply closing them vs. pressing the power button.)
