eBooks in TextFlow - NOT!

What it Looks Like

If you are using a district computer to access ebooks, you shouldn't ever see a book displayed in TextFlow - if you do, it means that you are not seeing all of the book's features because you do not have the software you need to view the book.

In Safari, you might see something that looks like this:

The other visual cue is that when the book is opened, the tools for note taking, highlighting, etc. are missing as in the image below.

Solution

One option is to view the ebook in Google Chrome which has a built in Flash viewer. 

The other option, if you do not have Chrome, is to install Adobe Flash using the Self Service application. 

If you need to update a lab full of computers, please fill out a Web HelpDesk Ticket indicating that you need Adobe Flash installed so that ebooks can be viewed on the computer.
