Student iPad Management
Overview
Student iPads are managed and configured by Tech Services, as described below.

Tech Services Set Up
Tech Services enters the following information when they set up iPads
Language — English
Location — US
SPS_Secure wireless access
Enable Location Services
Apple ID sign-in/testing
Agree to Terms and Conditions
Use iCloud and Back Up to the Cloud (no syncing to local computers needed)
Use Find My iPad
Do Not Send Diagnostics
Register with Apple
Start Using iPad
Settings Adjustments
General/About/Name — iPad name is entered to reflect district barcode and location
Enroll iPad in Casper; Self Service app installed
iCloud — turned ON:
Safari; this allows for syncing of Bookmarks to all iPads
Find my iPad
iCloud — turned OFF:
Storage and Backups
All other options
iTunes & App Stores
Automatic Downloads for Apps — turned ON
iMessages and FaceTime — turned OFF
iPads are assigned to a Group in Casper for remote management
