Changing Your Stored Exchange Account Password in macOS System Preferences
Introduction
Many users have their Exchange account added to the macOS operating system. When they change their District password, this password is not updated in macOS, nor does macOS ask you to update it. Instead, it just silently fails and causes account lockouts.
This article explains how to update that password.
Instructions
Open System Preferences on your Mac computer by going up to the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen and clicking.
Next, select Internet Accounts.
3. Once in Internet Accounts, look for your Exchange account. If it's there, select it and then click the Details... button.
If you do not have any Exchange accounts listed here, you're good and you can stop now.
4. In the Details view, click in the Password text box and clear out all the text and carefully type in your current password. Unfortunately, macOS doesn't provide any direct feedback on whether the password you typed is correct or not.
