Using Seesaw Messages

Overview

 Messages is the Seesaw communication tool. This year, some of the new options include:

• Communicate with custom groups of teachers, students, and families;

• Send messages to multiple classes at once;

• Empower students to message their teachers; and

• Maintain oversight with advanced administrator settings.

Learning Resources

There are specific Quick Start Guides for each user type. Please be sure to review them prior to starting the year.

Review Lesson Plans

Your next step is to open a resource document from Seesaw. Remember, there are parts of it that are irrelevant to our district that you will skip over.

The resource document contains materials that you may want to use with your students. These include:

Lesson 1: Introduction to Seesaw/Create a Post (the rest is not specific to SPS)

 Lesson 2: Respond to an Activity

Please IGNORE all sign in information contained in the document.

Click here to open the document.

Responding to Activities

Teaching your students how to respond to an activity (Lesson 2) is critical.

In this short video, Maple's Ed Tech Leader Amber Verkler walks through how she introduces her students to an activity in Seesaw.
