Learn about Tech in SPS
Staff with TeacherVUE access can access a list of missing assignments during the selected term for specific students. This feature is available to all teachers, counselors, and principals.
Teachers — you can use the Missing Assignment Summary in the Grade Book Reports to generate a list of missing assignments for their own classes.
Non-Teachers —
You will need to open the Grade Book Admin Login (Synergy SIS/Grade Book/Grade Book Admin Login).
For staff who are not classroom teachers, you will need to select the correct settings — year, enrollment period, and grading period.
Please read the entire set of directions before using this Admin Report.
Step 1: Navigate to Report Card/Admin Reports and select the Missing Assignments List by Grading Period report.
Step 2: Enter the student's name in the STUDENT column in this format:
lastname, firstname
Example: Doe, Joe
or enter the student ID in the STUDENTID column.
Step 3: Enter the desired term.
You must enter the exact term name or use the wildcard search symbol "%" with the partial term name (e.g., %quarter 3%).
Term names include:
Semester 1 Quarter 1
Semester 1 Quarter 2
Semester 1 Exam
Semester 1 Final
Semester 2 Quarter 3
Semester 2 Quarter 4
Semester 2 Exam
Semester 2 Final
Assignments are listed for the student and organized by class name. If you want to find the assignments for a single class, enter the name of the class.
TIP: If you do not know the exact name of the class, you can surround your search term with % symbols to indicate that you want any class that has that word in the title.
For example:
%algebra%
would result in all Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 classes.
Step 4 (Optional, but helpful): To group the missing assignments together by class, simply drag the CLASS column header to "group by" box area. This is helpful for printing because it lists the assignments by class.
Tip: If you decide not to filter by CLASS, drag and drop the CLASS header back into the column header row.
For a quick glance at the missing assignments from a specific class, click the "+" button next to each class to see the list of missing assignments. You can also print a list of all missing assignments grouped by class as described below.
Data can be downloaded for printing by using the XLS or PDF buttons. For best results, use the editable XLS format.
