Screen Size
Overview
Depending on how your student has adjusted their Chromebook, they may not be able to properly see a site or online book as it was intended.
There are a couple of things that you can do to change how the screen looks on a Chromebook.
Zoom In/Out
Hold down the control key and then tap the "-" key to zoom out. Repeat as needed until the toolbar is visible.
If the text on the screen is too small to read:
Hold down the control key and then tap the "+" key to zoom in. Repeat as needed.
Chrome Toolbars & Shelf (Dock)
On Chromebooks, the Chrome toolbars and shelf take up a bit of space and can be hidden, to provide additional space for content.
Set the Shelf to Autohide
Hold down the Alt key and click the shelf at the bottom of the screen. Select "Autohide Shelf."
This will give you an extra 1/2" of screen for viewing content.
Full Screen Button
Tap the full screen button to HIDE/SHOW the Chrome toolbar and dock.
This will give you an extra 1/2" of screen for viewing content.
Repeat to get the toolbar/dock back.
