A Dozen Helpful Hints
Use Google Chrome.
Sign in to Chrome with your SCHOOL ACCOUNT to get district extensions and bookmarks.
Something not working? Check the System Status pages (it's listed in your SPS Bookmarks).
Know how to get help. Check out the Help @ School page and subpages.
Take care of your computer — shut down at night, use Self Service and SPS Refresh for extra updates.
Write and submit GREAT Web Help Desk Tickets to get help as quickly as possible. Poorly described problems = delays.
Do a "tech check" to make sure your equipment is functioning.
Gradebook: enable google classroom and sync classes and assignments...hold off on syncing students until enrollment is finished and students are scheduled.

Self Service (#6 above!)
All staff should be using Self Service to install software and update your devices.
Devices should be shut down nightly so that Tech Services can remotely install fixes and make basic updates to your system.
