Senior Spotlight: Marco Nevers (12-3)

Helena Saven (12-4)

How has senior year been going? Are you stressed?

No, I’m not stressed, even though I probably should be. Right now, my main goal is to finish the college application process. I finished EA (Early Action) for some colleges, but I just want to get the whole thing finished.

What do you miss most about summer?

I mainly just worked this summer, that’s about it. So not really much to miss. I guess I miss days when I could just sleep in.

How long have you been in Robotics? How are the competitions going?

I’ve been in robotics since middle school and I’m planning to do it even through college. We had a competition freshman year and then sophomore year was cancelled because of COVID. Of course, junior year we weren’t in school, but now we're debating if we want to do a competition either somewhere else or in-house.

What kind of projects are you working on in the engineering club?

I’ve just joined this year and I’ve only been there for about two club meetings now, but so far we’re mainly been working on CAD (computer animated design) and coding.

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Either the mask dude from Squid Game, like the triangle mask dude, like one of the soldiers, or Gus Fring from Breaking Bad.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Hmm. I would have to think about this one. I’m proud of so many things about myself. I know some things that come to the top of my head. I’m not sure if I’d want to put them in the newspaper, though. Yeah, I’ll just pass on this for now.

What makes you motivated?

Can’t really think of anything. I guess I’m just not motivated. Can you put that? Actually, I motivate myself.

What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

Probably just watch TV. There’s not much to do on a rainy day.
