I know that you’ve been spending a lot of time up in Maine this year. Where has been your favorite place that you’ve done remote learning from so far, Maine, or Philly?

I would have to say Philly. While I like visiting Maine, my internet can be really spotty up there. I’ll be in Music Theory, trying to sing for the class, and then I’ll completely cut out, and I have to sing over and over.

You recently put out your 1st solo album, This City Belongs to You! (available on all major streaming platforms). What’s one thing that you would want people to know about the process of making it?

I’ve had the idea to do this since the beginning of quarantine, since March 13th, really. I’ve been exposed to so many different and unique styles of music that come from this incredible community that is our city. It’s definitely been a very inspiring experience.

If you could spend a day as any cereal mascot, who would it be and why?

I would choose to be Buzz The Bee, the mascot of Honey Nut Cheerios. I feel like I really connect with that guy.

Do you have a favorite book, art piece, film, song, any other type of art that you’ve recently read/seen/heard?

I’ve recently rewatched the first two Hunger Games movies. I think they’re really well done movies. And while all the commentary is very heavy handed, I think it's still done very well. And the movies are just really, really nostalgic and entertaining.

You have 2 dogs: Nina and Jackson. Which one of your dogs do you think is going to miss you the most when you’re off at college?

Probably Jackson. He’s a bit of a sad boy. Also, Nina seems to sometimes forget about people a little bit if she doesn’t see them for a while. For example, my sister is in college right now, and it can take Nina a few days to remember her when she comes home.

After finishing Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, what do you think has been more useful? The experiences/lessons that you took away from it, or being able to tell people (specifically in the setting of a college interview/application) that you read Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace?

Definitely the latter. I feel like I’ve accomplished this impressive feat and now it's my right to flex it, even if the entire thing went over my head.

Who/What do you think you do the best impersonation of?

Even though I personally detest Eminem, I can do a pretty good impression of him, I recently discovered.
