Masterman's New Literary Magazine: The Masterman Review!

Molly Hatfield (9-3)

For people with a love of writing or for people who wrote something they’re proud of, the Masterman Review is a platform to share literary pieces with the Masterman community, unanimously or not. The Masterman Review is Masterman’s new literary magazine created by Ty Young (11th grade), with the help of his friends. “Masterman excels in STEM-oriented environments, but nonetheless I found that in a lot of my English classes people would write these very beautiful pieces,” Young shared, “I think Masterman students often have these amazing creative abilities but we lack an environment where these passions can thrive. Writing is an integral part of how we interpret our own lives and those of others, and I think it's really important to have a platform to share your work with your peers”

The first issue of the Masterman Review will be published on their website on April 1st, and on the same day submissions will open again for the next issue! The Masterman Review is open to all types of literature. Some examples (and a sneak peak into the April issue) include “poetry, short stories, and visual writing pieces.” You can access the Masterman Review's website here: https://themastermanreview.wixsite.com/mastermanreview/.
