So you’re the founder of Poetry Club. What has it been like transitioning to leading a club digitally?

It was really difficult at first because I’m the type of person who feeds off of others’ energy and that's what motivates me to teach and inspire others, so it was really difficult to engage others and know if they were with me vibing … Now we have a schedule: one week introducing a topic, next 2 revising, then I show a presentation and we do an in-depth analysis to try to see what aspects we like and don’t like. That’s been going really well. Sometimes we just chill and listen to a podcast. I’ve been able to learn to adapt to others better because online, everyone’s low energy and you never truly know how someone's day is going if they have a camera off. I'm also giving people a period to chill and let them do what they need. I guess I’ve learned to become a lot more understanding and accommodating.

What’s one thing you like and dislike the most about a virtual Senior year?

I like how much closer I’ve gotten to some of my classmates… I like that it feels like there's less pressure, I guess. I don’t really have to worry about waking up super early, making sure my things are in order. I’m just chilling at home, doing my work, and the teachers are really understanding about extending deadlines.

Dislike: I miss my friends a lot. It’s been months seeing them and considering that it's our last school year going to the same place, it sucks that this is our last time to be together and we’re all at home.

Do you have pets? Dogs or cats?

Just a cat, so cats, cats all the way. Dogs stress me out a bit because they want to be energetic and run around all the time, and I'm more of a chill, laid-back person so the last thing I want to be doing is entertain a dog. My cat’s chill and really affectionate and she’ll just curl up with you.

If you had to be one crayon in a crayola box, what color would you be and why?

I’ll say yellow. my favorite color is yellow and you need to draw a smiley face or sun, you go with a cute little yellow crayon. That’s what I want to be just the sun in the corner of someone’s drawing!

Favorite cheesy joke?

Why can’t a nose be longer than 11 inches? Then, it would be a foot!
