This week, the children enjoyed revising their tricky words through a fun farm themed activities!
The children searched for tricky word carrots, read the words aloud, and then practised writing them independently.
They have also been exploring longer words, revising digraphs and trigraphs, and securing their phonics learning through engaging, hands on experiences.
The activity encouraged confidence, teamwork, and excitement for learning, with lots of smiles and laughter throughout the session.
This week, our learners have been exploring sharing and grouping. During their learning, the children explored grouping and sharing as early foundations for division. Through practical, hands-on experiences such as sharing objects between friends and making equal groups, they began to notice patterns and fairness. They used language such as “same,” “equal,” and “how many in each group?” while developing their understanding that a quantity can be split into smaller parts. These playful explorations supported their mathematical thinking, encouraging them to reason, problem-solve, and begin to grasp the concept of division in a meaningful and age-appropriate way.
This week in FS2, we have been enjoying the story Oliver’s Milkshake, which has inspired lots of excitement in our classrooms! After reading the book together, the children explored different ingredients and talked about the flavours Oliver used. We then had great fun creating our own delicious milkshakes using different fruits! The children showed wonderful creativity and enthusiasm, and even began writing their own simple recipes by listing ingredients.
This week, as part of our learning about farms, farming, and farm animals, the children explored how cows provide us with milk, which can be used to make delicious treats such as milkshakes!
The children enthusiastically took part in a hands on activity where they role played what it was like to work with cows on a farm.
There was lots of excitement, laughter, and endless giggles as the children explored together, it was a wonderful sensory experience enjoyed by all!

We are pleased to share the launch of The Arabic Stories Digital Library, an innovative initiative from our Arabic Department designed to strengthen our culture of reading and academic excellence.
The platform provides a carefully curated collection of Arabic stories tailored to learners’ varying interests and proficiency levels. Learners are encouraged to read at least one story per week and complete a structured reflection task to deepen comprehension, enhance written expression, and develop critical thinking skills.
The library will continue to expand through regular updates, ensuring fresh and engaging content. This initiative supports independent learning, advances language development, and reinforces cultural identity — all aligned with our strategic vision and High Performance Learning framework.
Further details will be shared by Ms. Zenab after the half-term break.
Please find here the External PAID ECA Providers at Nadeen School for Term 3.
