Up and Coming Dates:
Saturday, 17th of January - Beach Clean Up
Thursday, 22nd January - Nadeen School Birthday
Our FS1 learners focused on the phoneme /d/ as part of our phonics provision for this week. The learners explored a dinosaur theme, developing their sound recognition through playful, hands-on activities. Using playdough to make dinosaur bones and skeletons, they strengthened their fine motor skills while confidently engaging with the target sound through imaginative play.
This week, the FS1 children created self portraits, giving them the opportunity to explore what makes them unique. Through observing their own features and talking about similarities and differences, they developed their understanding of the world around them and themselves. The activity also supported the development of fine motor skills as the children carefully drew, and added details, strengthening the muscles needed for early writing.
This week in FS1 Maths, the learners have been linking their learning across different areas of provision by exploring this week’s phoneme /d/ through Duplo. Using the Duplo blocks, they built towers while counting carefully, comparing quantities and exploring numbers in an interactive, playful way. This activity supported early maths skills, fine motor development and phonics learning through purposeful play.
This week in FS1, the children enjoyed exploring role play, which supported their communication and language development. Through imaginative play, they practised using new vocabulary, taking turns in conversation, and expressing their ideas and feelings. The children showed growing confidence as they talked with their friends, listened to others, and used language to act out familiar experiences.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us make this a happy and memorable experience for all our learners.
We will begin phasing the purchasing of food from the canteen into Primary from Wednesday, 14th October, starting with Year 6 learners. To support the smooth operation of this process, learner cards will be kept in school and given to students at lunchtime to make purchases.
Please note: learners can only purchase food if they have a card.
If you would like your child to buy lunch from the canteen, you will need to purchase a learner card. Instructions for how to purchase the card can be found spare APP.
Please ensure there is sufficient money loaded onto the card to allow your child to buy food. You can use the SPARE app to top up the card, view what your child has eaten, and purchase meals in advance.
We are aiming to introduce this system to Year 4 and Year 5 learners after the half-term break. We need this time to carefully organise the process so that we can maximise efficiency and ensure a smooth experience for all learners.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this introductory phase.
