This week in Maths, we consolidated our understanding of how to divide a two-digit number by a one-digit number with no exchange.
Exciting Enrichment Opportunities
Learners can also take part in exciting external maths challenges:
Human Calculator – Sign up using this link
AMS Olympiad – Full details available here
These opportunities are a great way for learners to extend their problem-solving skills beyond the classroom.
This week in Science, we came to the end of our topic on soil. The learners enjoyed a brief introduction to our new Science topic, light, which we will be exploring next. This helped to spark curiosity and excitement for the learning ahead.
This week in enquiry learning, learners visited the kitchen to make chocolate truffles in preparation for their upcoming charity sale. They followed instructions carefully, worked collaboratively, and applied their understanding of hygiene and organisation. The experience encouraged problem-solving and teamwork, and learners are excited and motivated as they look forward to selling their truffles for charity on Sunday.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.
Well done to our Year 3 Wolves of the Week.

Year 3 learners did a great job of finding their partners in a game where everyone had a day of the week written on a piece of paper, half in English and the other half in French. Our focus was on developing our reading skills and our ability to recognise what the French words meant.
We also played one of our favourite games, the 4 corners game, which helps to develop our listening skills.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
