This week we celebrated the end of our Egyptology-themed diary writing unit. Our learners have researched, crafted, and published imaginative diary entries inspired by archaeologists studying Ancient Egypt, and their work is truly impressive.
We are incredibly proud of their effort and creativity, and we can’t wait to showcase their writing in our Writing Gallery for everyone to enjoy.
Well done to all our talented learners!
No new spellings this week. Please review all spellings from over the term for a pop-up style quiz next Thursday.
We have carried on this week with our multiplication and division topic. We have looked at the 3s and 4s times tables this week. Please try to work with your learners at home to solidify these skills.
This week, we wrapped up our Movement topic and spent time reviewing everything we’ve learned throughout the term. The children enjoyed revisiting key ideas, sharing what they remembered, and showing how much progress they’ve made in their understanding. It was a great way to celebrate their hard work and bring the unit to a close.
This week, we wrapped up our Ancient Egypt topic with a wonderful Celebration of Learning. Parents were invited into the classroom to take part in a range of hands-on activities alongside their children, from games to creative challenges. It was fantastic to see both learners and parents fully engaged and enjoying the experience together. A lovely and memorable way to end our topic!

Well done to our Year 3 Wolves of the Week.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.
Beautiful work from our Year 3 Learners this week - a very big well done to them all.
They put together all that we have learnt so far and created super posters based on the story of Ours Brun. Learners chose their own animals and colours then expressed their preferences using 'j'aime' and 'je n'aime pas'.
Next week be Christmas-based lessons.
In Year 3, learners have been learning to identify different Gamelan instruments and match them to their descriptions. They listened carefully to the sounds each instrument makes and discussed how they are played, such as striking, hitting, or gently tapping. Using pictures and sound clips, the class explored instruments like the gong, kendang drum, and metallophones, noticing how each one has its own unique tone and role in an ensemble. Learners then worked in small groups to match the instrument names with written descriptions, developing both their listening skills and their understanding of traditional Indonesian music.

Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.
In the spirit of Nadeen’s core values of love, care, and community, we are excited to introduce “Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.” This special initiative gives our community an opportunity to spread kindness during the festive season by supporting our animal friends in need.
In collaboration with Bahrain Rescues we will be setting up a Christmas tree in the learner entrance decorated with wish-list tags. Each tag will include an item or small contribution that families may choose to provide. Children are welcome to pick a tag from the tree and bring in the corresponding item.
Our Wishlist (all items valued at 5 BD or less):
A bag of cat litter
A bag of cat or dog food
A cosy winter blanket for the dogs
Cleaning supplies
Apples or carrots for Bahrain Rescues’ resident donkey, Dolly
Thank you for helping us make this festive season extra meaningful through small acts of compassion that make a big difference. Your support truly embodies the kindness at the heart of our school community.
Winter Shoebox Appeal
Nadeen School is once again supporting the Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS) Winter Shoebox Appeal. This annual initiative takes place in November, as we approach the winter season, and aims to collect essential items for vulnerable members of our community.
We invite your child to participate by helping to pack a decorated shoebox or backpack with much-needed items. The children will box these up at home and bring them into school.
Please see the attached flyer for general information. We are asking for donations of toiletries (such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo) and dry foods, including lentils, rice, dried milk powder, and spices.
We will be collecting donations from next week in the Learner entrance and our contributions will be handed over to the MWPS later on.
Every donation makes a difference, and your support for this important cause is deeply appreciated.
