This week in FS1, the learners have been diving into all things festive! They’ve been busy using loose parts to decorate their own Christmas tree and candy cane templates, choosing sparkly bits and bright colours to bring their creations to life. With festive winter stories to spark their imagination, the learners have been discovering the world around them; noticing the magic of the season. A joyful, creative way to wrap up our Autumn term and head into the holidays!
Our FS1 children have been exploring a festive play dough invitation using peppermint scented dough, candy canes, holiday buttons and little gingerbread men loose parts. They enjoyed pressing, pinching and rolling the dough, which offered plenty of opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Using a range of cookie cutters, they created their own seasonal shapes sharing ideas with friends and expressing their creativity throughout the activity.
This week, the children have been consolidating their learning of the phonemes taught so far for s a t p i n. They have been sorting a range of objects to match each initial sound, helping to develop their early reading skills and confidence in recognising sounds.
A lovely present wrapping activity, our learners showed engagement, using their language to talk about what they were doing. Children described the wrapping paper, asking for help when needed, and used simple phrases such as “I need more tape” or “I’m folding it.” Children listened to instructions about how to hold and fold the paper and followed these with increasing confidence.
We are excited to have FS1 start their PE sessions, next week. This week, the PE teachers have come down to introduce themselves to the children. Please ensure your child is wearing their PE uniform and appropriate footwear on the allocated day below.

Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.
In the spirit of Nadeen’s core values of love, care, and community, we are excited to introduce “Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.” This special initiative gives our community an opportunity to spread kindness during the festive season by supporting our animal friends in need.
In collaboration with Bahrain Rescues we will be setting up a Christmas tree in the learner entrance decorated with wish-list tags. Each tag will include an item or small contribution that families may choose to provide. Children are welcome to pick a tag from the tree and bring in the corresponding item.
Our Wishlist (all items valued at 5 BD or less):
A bag of cat litter
A bag of cat or dog food
A cosy winter blanket for the dogs
Cleaning supplies
Apples or carrots for Bahrain Rescues’ resident donkey, Dolly

Winter Shoebox Appeal
Nadeen School is once again supporting the Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS) Winter Shoebox Appeal. This annual initiative takes place in November, as we approach the winter season, and aims to collect essential items for vulnerable members of our community.
We invite your child to participate by helping to pack a decorated shoebox or backpack with much-needed items. The children will box these up at home and bring them into school.
Please see the attached flyer for general information. We are asking for donations of toiletries (such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo) and dry foods, including lentils, rice, dried milk powder, and spices.
We will be collecting donations from next week in the Learner entrance and our contributions will be handed over to the MWPS later on.
Every donation makes a difference, and your support for this important cause is deeply appreciated.
Welcome to the Youtube Viral Fun Camp - December Edition!
Get ready for 10 days of exciting, hands-on fun where kids become creators, builders, testers, and trend-setters!
Each day, children will try out kid-friendly viral trends, jump into mini creative challenges, make trending crafts, explore sensory setups, and enjoy the kind of activities they LOVE watching online.
This camp is all about learning through play, experimenting, filming fun moments (optional), teamwork, confidence, and creativity.
Timings: 9 AM – 12 PM
Cost: 10 BD per day or Pay by the week.
Week 1- 14, 15 (20 BD)
Week 2- 21,22, 23, 24 ( 40BD)
Week 3- 28, 29, 30, 31 ( 40BD)

We will begin phasing the purchasing of food from the canteen into Primary from Wednesday, 14th October, starting with Year 6 learners. To support the smooth operation of this process, learner cards will be kept in school and given to students at lunchtime to make purchases.
Please note: learners can only purchase food if they have a card.
If you would like your child to buy lunch from the canteen, you will need to purchase a learner card. Instructions for how to purchase the card can be found spare APP.
Please ensure there is sufficient money loaded onto the card to allow your child to buy food. You can use the SPARE app to top up the card, view what your child has eaten, and purchase meals in advance.
We are aiming to introduce this system to Year 4 and Year 5 learners after the half-term break. We need this time to carefully organise the process so that we can maximise efficiency and ensure a smooth experience for all learners.
