This week in English, the learners proudly published their myth narratives based on Arthur and the Golden Rope. They applied everything they have learnt this term, including organising their writing into clear paragraphs, using exciting vocabulary to describe characters and settings, and incorporating fronted adverbials and accurate punctuation. The learners carefully edited their work to improve grammar, spelling, and sentence structure before producing their final pieces. It has been wonderful to see their growth in confidence, creativity, and writing skills throughout this unit.
Spellings
This week we continue our spelling focus on common mistakes from previous weeks:

This week in Maths, we were introduced to the concept of factors through a “See, Think, Wonder” approach. The learners explored number patterns, made observations, and began thinking deeply about how numbers can be grouped and arranged. We will return to this exciting area next half term, leaving the children with plenty of food for thought as they continue noticing patterns and connections in the world of numbers.
📢 Exciting Enrichment Opportunities
Learners can also take part in exciting external maths challenges:

Below is a recap of what we've learned this term about sound. Ask your children what they've taken away from this topic.
We know that sounds get quieter as we move away from where they're coming from.
We've spotted patterns between how loud a sound is and how strong the vibrations are that make it.
We've noticed how the pitch of a sound relates to the features of the object making it.
We understand that vibrations travel through something to reach our ears.
We've learned how sounds are created and linked them to vibrating objects
Enquiry Learning
This week, the learners completed their Romans topic. They finished their Roman shields, completed their mosaics and made final improvements to their Google Slides presentations. The learners worked hard to ensure their projects showed what they had learned about Roman life, the army and the Empire.
We then welcomed parents into the classroom for our Celebration of Learning. The learners shared their work and explained what they had studied during the topic. It was great to see them speaking clearly about their shields, mosaics and research.
During the session, parents also had the opportunity to create their own mosaics alongside the learners. This was a lovely way to share the learning experience and celebrate the effort the learners have put into their work over the past half term.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.

As part of our wonderful International Week, learners took part in a French food tasting activity.
We began by talking about what French children like to eat for breakfast and compared this to what we normally eat in the mornings.
Learners were then invited to taste croissant, baguettes, cheese (brie) and jam (Confiture Bonne Maman Fraises).
We wished one another a 'bon appétit' and practised saying what we liked and what we didn't like plus what we loved and hated.
During International Week, Year 4 explored samba drumming in their music lessons. They learned about call and response between the sambista (leader) and the rest of the group, and practised a range of repeating cyclic rhythms on percussion instruments including the surdo, chocalho, reco-reco and tamborim, before performing together as a four-part polyrhythm.

On Monday, we were delighted to host TeachMeet 5: The AI Edition, bringing educators together to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education.
Led by AI Transformation Leader Luis I. Cortes, the session considered AI within both a global and regional context, while keeping a clear focus on what matters most, ensuring technology enhances learning without replacing the human relationships, judgement and care that define great education.
The event reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful innovation and our High Performance Learning approach, preparing learners to be adaptable, reflective and confident in a rapidly changing world.
On Wednesday, Nadeen proudly hosted the 2026 Bahrain Eco-Summit as part of the growing collaboration established by the Bahrain Sustainable Schools Partnership (BSSP).
We were honoured to welcome 14 schools and over 100 learners to our campus, coming together to share ideas, collaborate and explore meaningful approaches to sustainability.
Founded in 2023, the Eco-Summit has quickly become a key event in Bahrain’s school calendar, uniting schools, sustainability partners and local organisations with a shared purpose: strengthening environmental education and empowering young people to lead positive change.
Through learner-led presentations, hands-on workshops and collaborative discussions, the Summit provided a powerful reminder that real progress happens when communities work together.
By hosting this year’s event, Nadeen reaffirms its commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible learners and supporting partnerships that help build a more sustainable future for Bahrain.
We are pleased to share the launch of The Arabic Stories Digital Library, an innovative initiative from our Arabic Department designed to strengthen our culture of reading and academic excellence.
The platform provides a carefully curated collection of Arabic stories tailored to learners’ varying interests and proficiency levels. Learners are encouraged to read at least one story per week and complete a structured reflection task to deepen comprehension, enhance written expression, and develop critical thinking skills.
The library will continue to expand through regular updates, ensuring fresh and engaging content. This initiative supports independent learning, advances language development, and reinforces cultural identity — all aligned with our strategic vision and High Performance Learning framework.
Further details will be shared by Ms. Zenab after the half-term break.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
