This week in English, our Year 3 learners carefully edited, up-levelled and proudly published their reports. We have been incredibly impressed by their hard work, perseverance and the high standard of their final pieces. Well done, Year 3!

In Maths, we have been learning about length and measurement. We explored how metres, centimetres, and millimetres are connected and practised converting between these units. We also measured objects accurately using a ruler.
This week in Science, the learners began their new topic on light, exploring the difference between natural, artificial, and non-light sources. This sparked curiosity and led to thoughtful, engaging conversations in the classroom as the children shared ideas and asked questions.
This week, learners successfully sold their handmade truffles after school and raised 85 BD for charity. The event demonstrated teamwork, organisation and creativity. Well done to all who contributed their ideas, effort and enthusiasm to make the project such a success.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.
Well done to our Year 3 Wolves of the Week.

Students will learn about different public places in their city and how to use action verbs such as "we go" and "we visit", along with question words like "when" and "why". They will also take part in an interactive game called "Where do I go if…?" to practice what they have learned, for example: "We go to the hospital if we are sick" and "We visit the library to read books". Students will also write a list of places they visit with their family to apply their learning in a personal and interactive way
As part of International Week, Year 3 have been exploring North America. In their music lessons, they learned about hip hop music and performed the Nadeen Rap in time with a drum track. They also danced along to a range of hip hop examples, exploring different styles within the genre.
Here at Nadeen we start each day,
With open minds to guide our way.

As part of our wonderful International Week, learners took part in a French food tasting activity.
We began by talking about what French children like to eat for breakfast and compared this to what we normally eat in the mornings.
Learners were then invited to taste croissant, baguettes, cheese (brie) and jam (Confiture Bonne Maman Fraises).
We wished one another a 'bon appétit' and practised saying what we liked and what we didn't like.

On Wednesday, Nadeen proudly hosted the 2026 Bahrain Eco-Summit as part of the growing collaboration established by the Bahrain Sustainable Schools Partnership (BSSP).
We were honoured to welcome 14 schools and over 100 learners to our campus, coming together to share ideas, collaborate and explore meaningful approaches to sustainability.
Founded in 2023, the Eco-Summit has quickly become a key event in Bahrain’s school calendar, uniting schools, sustainability partners and local organisations with a shared purpose: strengthening environmental education and empowering young people to lead positive change.
Through learner-led presentations, hands-on workshops and collaborative discussions, the Summit provided a powerful reminder that real progress happens when communities work together.
By hosting this year’s event, Nadeen reaffirms its commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible learners and supporting partnerships that help build a more sustainable future for Bahrain.
On Monday, we were delighted to host TeachMeet 5: The AI Edition, bringing educators together to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education.
Led by AI Transformation Leader Luis I. Cortes, the session considered AI within both a global and regional context, while keeping a clear focus on what matters most, ensuring technology enhances learning without replacing the human relationships, judgement and care that define great education.
The event reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful innovation and our High Performance Learning approach, preparing learners to be adaptable, reflective and confident in a rapidly changing world.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
