Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity and community. Through the A Box of Goodness initiative, we will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout Ramadan to support families in need. Last year, we donated 70 food boxes, with your support, let’s give even more this year.
Introducing our tutor groups
Year 8 has thoroughly enjoyed celebrating International Week, showing great enthusiasm in recognising and appreciating the different cultures within our community. Today’s Food Festival was a fantastic way to bring everyone together and highlight the importance of respect, collaboration, and shared experiences. Thank you to all families for your continued support, and we wish you a wonderful and relaxing half-term break.

This year's World Book Week theme is "Reading for Pleasure" - and that is exactly the plan!
Please ensure you come to school everyday this week with your favourite book - who knows when you will be asked to DEAR (Drop Everything and Read!) - learners and staff included!
During the week learners will have the opportunity to:
read to younger learners in the primary school
enter competitions and complete various activities during form time
visit the Book Fair and purchase books at a discounted price - please note this is a cash only event
guess your Teacher's character on the final day
On the official World Book Day (Thursday 5th March) there will be a costume parade in the morning. Learners are strongly encouraged to dress up as a character from their favourite, well-known book or as an effective, suitable adjective (describing word). The word chosen will need to be displayed as either a badge or a plaque for learners to hold up. Please can we ask all of our school community to be mindful when they are choosing their costumes or adjectives, to ensure they are being respectful during the Holy month of Ramadan.
More information to follow via Google classroom and form time. Please contact Ms Nicola in Secondary if you have any further questions regarding years 7-11 and their participation in this event.
Nadeen School was proud to host the 2026 Eco-Summit, welcoming learners and staff from schools across Bahrain for a day dedicated to sustainability, collaboration and innovation. The event brought together young people who are passionate about protecting our environment, providing a platform to share ideas, showcase projects and inspire meaningful action within our communities.
Throughout the summit, visiting schools engaged in discussions, workshops and presentations focused on environmental responsibility, creative problem-solving and student leadership. It was fantastic to see learners confidently sharing their perspectives and working together to explore practical ways to promote a more sustainable future.
Hosting the Eco-Summit reflects Nadeen’s ongoing commitment to environmental awareness and global citizenship. We would like to thank all participating schools, staff and organisers who contributed to such a positive and purposeful event, and we look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships that empower our learners to lead change both locally and beyond.
Our Secondary learners and staff came together this week to celebrate Bahrain National Sports Day with a fantastic 20-minute active session led by our PE department. The event brought the entire Secondary community outdoors, creating an energetic and positive atmosphere as everyone took part in a range of inclusive activities designed to get hearts pumping and spirits lifted.
The session focused on movement, teamwork and wellbeing, highlighting the importance of staying active not only for physical health but also for mental focus and resilience. Learners embraced the opportunity to step away from the classroom, connect with one another, and enjoy a shared moment of school spirit.
It was wonderful to see learners from all year groups participating enthusiastically alongside staff, reinforcing our commitment to building healthy habits and a strong sense of community. A huge thank you goes to the PE department for organising and leading such an engaging session, ensuring that every learner could take part and celebrate the values of Bahrain National Sports Day together.
We look forward to continuing to promote active lifestyles and creating more opportunities for our Secondary learners to move, collaborate and thrive.
Today during tutor time, we were pleased to officially launch Unifrog with our Year 7 learners.
During the session, learners created their personal Unifrog accounts and began exploring some of the platform’s key features. Unifrog is designed to support learners in reflecting on their interests, developing skills, and making informed decisions about future pathways.
This session also provided an opportunity for KS3 learners as a whole to review their progress from last academic year, reflect on strengths and areas for development, and continue updating their Unifrog profiles.
Unifrog will continue to be used across KS3 as a tool for reflection, goal-setting, and future planning, and we encourage learners to engage with the platform regularly.
We look forward to seeing how learners continue to develop their profiles and take ownership of their learning journey.
We are incredibly proud to share that Luca, one of our Year 9 learners, recently represented Nadeen School through an exciting collaboration with Radio Bahrain.
As part of this opportunity, Luca met Luke Littler, the two-time World Champion darts player, and conducted an interview to learn more about his journey, mindset, and experiences at the highest level of the sport. The interview was published live on air the following day, reaching listeners across Bahrain.
Luca demonstrated confidence, professionalism, and excellent communication skills throughout the experience, representing both himself and the Nadeen community exceptionally well. This was a fantastic example of learners applying their skills beyond the classroom and embracing unique, real-world opportunities.
We are immensely proud of Luca and congratulate him on an outstanding achievement
Our Year 8 Learner Conferences will be taking place next Wednesday, 11th February. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for learners and parents to reflect on progress, celebrate successes, and discuss next steps for learning.
To facilitate the smooth running of the conferences, all Secondary learners will finish at 2:00 pm on this day.
We kindly ask parents to ensure suitable collection arrangements are made for their child(ren) at the earlier finish time. Please note that there will be no supervision available on site after 2:00 pm.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming our Year 8 families for the conferences next week.
As we move through the term and approach the holy month of Ramadan, we would like to take this opportunity to remind learners and families of the importance of maintaining our uniform expectations and a professional learning environment across Secondary.
High standards of uniform help promote respect, focus, and a positive school culture, which is especially important during a time that calls for reflection, consideration, and respect for others.
Please ensure that:
Skirts are of appropriate length in line with the school uniform policy
Footwear is correct and appropriate for school
Jackets and outerwear worn during the school day are approved school items
Make-up is minimal and appropriate for a school setting
We kindly ask for your continued support in ensuring learners arrive at school well-presented and ready to learn each day. Any uniform concerns will be addressed by staff to maintain consistency and fairness for all.
Thank you for working with us to uphold the values of respect, responsibility, and community, particularly during this important period.
Learners have been having an incredible time on their ski trip in Italy this week. From gliding down snowy slopes to exploring the stunning mountain scenery, it has been wonderful to see them embracing every moment of this exciting experience.
We have especially enjoyed seeing the photos shared on the Nadeen School Instagram, giving our school community a glimpse of the fun, laughter, and achievements taking place on the trip. It’s clear that learners are making memories that will last a lifetime.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back next week, eager to hear their stories and see their adventures brought to life in the classroom.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all learners, staff, and coaches for their incredible efforts and enthusiasm. Our learners participated in a wide variety of sports and athletics, demonstrating teamwork, determination, and school spirit. Along the way, medals were won, challenges were embraced, and most importantly, memories were created that will last well beyond the events themselves. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making these experiences so meaningful and successful.
We are aware that some parents have been having challenges in buying a new Nadeen polo shirt. Unfortunately the school's uniform suppliers are currently out of stock of the Nadeen Polo shirts. We are looking at ways to resolve this issue. In the meantime, white Nadeen shirts are available to purchase as an approved alternative item of the Nadeen school uniform. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We’re pleased to share that The Factory Run – Family Relay will take place on 14th February 2026 at Exhibition World Bahrain. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of family, teamwork and wellbeing.
If you’re taking part, we look forward to seeing some Nadeen families there and cheering you on!

On Wednesday, Nadeen proudly hosted the 2026 Bahrain Eco-Summit as part of the growing collaboration established by the Bahrain Sustainable Schools Partnership (BSSP).
We were honoured to welcome 14 schools and over 100 learners to our campus, coming together to share ideas, collaborate and explore meaningful approaches to sustainability.
Founded in 2023, the Eco-Summit has quickly become a key event in Bahrain’s school calendar, uniting schools, sustainability partners and local organisations with a shared purpose: strengthening environmental education and empowering young people to lead positive change.
Through learner-led presentations, hands-on workshops and collaborative discussions, the Summit provided a powerful reminder that real progress happens when communities work together.
By hosting this year’s event, Nadeen reaffirms its commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible learners and supporting partnerships that help build a more sustainable future for Bahrain.
On Monday, we were delighted to host TeachMeet 5: The AI Edition, bringing educators together to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education.
Led by AI Transformation Leader Luis I. Cortes, the session considered AI within both a global and regional context, while keeping a clear focus on what matters most, ensuring technology enhances learning without replacing the human relationships, judgement and care that define great education.
The event reflects our ongoing commitment to thoughtful innovation and our High Performance Learning approach, preparing learners to be adaptable, reflective and confident in a rapidly changing world.
We are pleased to share the launch of The Arabic Stories Digital Library, an innovative initiative from our Arabic Department designed to strengthen our culture of reading and academic excellence.
The platform provides a carefully curated collection of Arabic stories tailored to learners’ varying interests and proficiency levels. Learners are encouraged to read at least one story per week and complete a structured reflection task to deepen comprehension, enhance written expression, and develop critical thinking skills.
The library will continue to expand through regular updates, ensuring fresh and engaging content. This initiative supports independent learning, advances language development, and reinforces cultural identity — all aligned with our strategic vision and High Performance Learning framework.
Further details will be shared by Ms. Zenab after the half-term break.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please find here the External PAID ECA Providers at Nadeen School for Term 2.
